The Pioneer Woman

The one and only French Breakfast Puffs from The Pioneer Woman.
Delicious & Decadent.......But worth each and every calorie. One thing NEVER do though is only make a single recipe. Trust me...you'll regret it.

They freeze beautifully. Just pop each one into a sandwich bag (if indeed there are any left over) and line them up in your freezer. They will be waiting patiently for your return!
Cutest plate ever right??

                                                        Happy Easter!

Cardinal

Picture This!
Can't you just imagine this little guy saying " I'm going to let you stay here in my garden but I want you to remember that what I say goes. OK?"

ShadowPlay

I love this concept. The first time I saw it I just had to smile. It brought back all the make believe play I had as a little girl. We had wonderful adventures and I remember them as some of the best times of my life. My imagination came so easy as a child and the older I get the harder I have to work at not losing it.
P.S. I am still looking for a wardrobe to take me away to Narnia. Now that would be an adventure to end them all and I can't wait to meet the talking animals.....I have so many questions!

Reaching

It's a lovely plant. Every year as the winter approaches I bring in my faithful fern & thank it for gracing my front porch for yet another year. It's painful but I trim it back and lay in wait for someone with a strong back to come home and carry this enormous plant upstairs to wait out the winter. So it sits...in a corner....in a cold room.
Then it begins. It decides to reach. It decides to figure out how to find the sun. It winds in and out of the blinds to make an intricate pattern.
So begins another season.

"New"' Year

I am making a "life" resolution not just for the year but for a long time I hope.. Tho late coming it is still worthy of doing. I will be better about keeping in closer contact with people who have crossed my path over the years. Everyone I meet makes a difference in my life. Sometimes they make you think about things differently, some make you smile and others have profound impact that changes you forever.

There are many people that I will never have the luxury of sitting with again to enjoy their company but they are none the less dear to me. I want them to know that I think of each of them so often. I will share my memories of these wonderful people one at a time as each deserves special mention.

Geramyum

I have been fortunate to meet this beautiful young woman who is such a talented watercolor artist. We formed a bond thru work that morphed into friendship over our shared love of flowers, gardens and creating things. I am the proud owner of one of her watercolors because my wonderful family got together and with Geramyum chose the perfect piece of art for me. I marvel at its beauty every time I walk thru my front door.
It's beauty never fails ....and it always takes me back in my mind to Paris..............

Belle

My daughter in law gave me her old Kindle when she upgraded. How nice was that???? I feel like Belle when the Beast opened the draperies in the library and she first saw all the books she could read! I have downloading classic books that I have wanted to read forever (all for free) and bought some from my favorite authors as well. I still love the feel of holding a book to read and of course I will never give up my excursions to the library. But this is a new alternative for me and I just love it.
I did notice that on my last trip that I was one of the few people who were not reading from an electronic device, which is fine, but now I have choices....and my carry on will be much lighter!
I don't think I can live long enough tho to read all the books I want to read. ...but this is a start....
Many thanks to Kayte!

I am currently reading short stories about Sherlock Holmes.
What are you reading these days?

Christmas Cards

I might as well just say it....I haven't sent Christmas cards for years however I have no self control and I buy them every year. I have great intentions. I plan on starting early....like August.... but then the draw to be outside as summer in winding to an end is too strong and I just have to go outside it take advantage of every minute.
So Christmas comes and goes. Before I know.....I'm buying cards for the following year.
You should see the ones I just bought...they are just perfect!

In My Minds Eye

In my minds eye I can dance....really well. I can envision myself at the perfect size and wearing the clothes I dream of looking good in. I see myself sitting in Luxembourg Gardens people watching, reading and just breathing in Paris.
But in reality I'm just an ordinary girl with random thoughts.
That's what I'll be sharing with you and hope you'll share right back.

What about you? What's in your minds eye?
